Keeping Your Home Clean With Pets

Sharing your life with a pet comes with countless benefits. One of the biggest downsides, however, is the impact they can have on your home’s cleanliness. We love them, but they shed. They drool. They have accidents, and, well…sometimes they just don’t smell all that great. Thankfully, there are ways to keep both your pet and your home fresh and clean.

Start by finding a good groomer. Regular grooming can dramatically reduce shedding and dander, while also helping your pet maintain a healthy coat and skin. Next, invest in a quality vacuum – preferably one that’s been specially designed for homes with pets. And, of course, when you do clean your home, make sure you’re using pet-friendly products that won’t cause
harm to your pet.

Last, be sure to schedule regular checkups. This will enable us to keep your animal companion in tip-top health, help you address any issues that may exist and provide recommendations for your specific situation. Living with pets can be incredibly rewarding. With a little proactive effort, you can create a space that’s safe, clean and comfortable for
everyone. Have questions or concerns about this or any other pet-related topic? We’re here to help! Give us a call today!

Keeping Fido Safe At The Dog Park

Taking your pet to the dog park is definitely a lot of fun. But it’s important to take a few precautions to make sure your dog stays safe. Here are some safety and etiquette tips for the dog park:
Use preventative medicines.
It’s a safe bet that your dog will be up close and personal with other dogs during his time at the dog park. That’s why it’s essential that your pooch is up to date on their vaccinations and is current on their parasite preventatives. Always make sure your pet is properly protected before heading to the dog park!
Bring a leash.
You may very well allow your dog to run off-leash once you’re in the confines of the dog park. But it’s still a good idea to bring a leash along. You just never know when you might need to clip it on and get control over your pet.
Supervise your pet.
It’s never a good idea to let your dog go unsupervised while at the dog park. Play it safe and keep a close eye on your dog as he interacts with other pets and humans.
Don’t hesitate to give us a call if you want more tips on visiting the dog park, or if your dog is in need of vaccinations or pest preventatives.
